SIGGRAPH 05, 31 July - 4 August, Los Angeles Would anyone like to convene a Birds-of-a-Feather meeting on Digital Arts Histories at this years SIGGRAPH Convention? This event ran successfully in 03 (under the auspices of the Art Show) and in 04 (as part of the Educators Program). In 2005 it is proposed to run it in conjunction with the International Program which Rejane Spitz is chairing. Paul Brown, who convened the 03/4 meetings is unable to attend SIGGRAPH this year and so is looking for someone to take on this relatively unchallenging task. Anyone interested should reply to paul@paul-brown.com -- =============================================================== Paul Brown in the UK to 18 April 2005 mailto:paul@paul-brown.com http://www.paul-brown.com UK mob +44 (0)794 104 8228 USA fax +1 309 216 9900 =============================================================== Visiting Fellow - Birkbeck http://www.bbk.ac.uk/hafvm/cache/ ===============================================================

There's a very good article about this by the owner of the collection Jeremy Norman in New Scientist, No. 2487, 17 February 2005, (pp. 20 - UK edition) titled Cyber-antiques.
